About J.R. Atkins & Something Different Companies

J.R. Atkins started consulting in 1994 helping other sales people become more proficient using ACT contact Management software.

He soon learned that he could earn extra income consulting with companies on ACT, Cold Calling and generals Sales & Marketing.

His consulting skills were father refined with the help of Dr. Nathan Jones, an economics professor at University of Texas Arlington. Dr Jones taught J.R. the value of asking good questions then listen for not just the words in the answer but the emotion, the intensity and the pacing of the response.

J.R. has held personal interviews with thousands of individuals and business owners to help them improve their results. In 2006 he earned his MBA and further fine tuned his consulting skills.

Today, J.R. Atkins leads a dynamic consulting practice for organizations that focuses on Social Media, Websites, and Sales & Marketing.
