Major sporting events in general consume massive amounts of energy. From lighting a stadium to waste generation, a professional game is an expensive undertaking.
In the last few years, sports venues have started to incorporate energy-efficient strategies and green design elements, such as more efficient lighting systems, composting and on-site power generation. These stadiums are already seeing great returns on their investments and saving lots of money on energy.
